Wang Shenggang, Minister of Education and Technology Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, Kalima, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China University in Egypt, along with leaders and teacher representatives from the headquarters and Beijing Representative Office of China University in Egypt, as well as representatives from partner universities such as Beijing Language and Culture University, Northeastern University of Finance and Economics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Taiyuan University of Technology, and Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, attended the event online.
Wang Shenggang stated in his speech that the University of China in Egypt is the only Chinese named university in Egypt, North Africa, and even the Middle East. It is a symbol of friendship between the two peoples and has trained a large number of talents who understand China and are committed to China Egypt friendship since its establishment. At present, Egypt’s economic and social development is strong, and there is a high demand for talents, especially applied technical talents. Kalima stated that the philosophy of Chinese universities in Egypt is to become the first non-traditional university in Egypt and the Arab world to have the ability to disseminate advanced manufacturing technology. In the future, it will expand to every province of Egypt, and cooperation with Chinese universities and institutions will enable students to obtain degrees recognized by both Egypt and China, providing practical education that combines management and technology. The Beijing Representative Office of China University in Egypt will play a crucial role in promoting cooperation between China University in Egypt and Chinese universities.
The person in charge of the Beijing Office of China University in Egypt, Jianxuewen, stated that the establishment of the Beijing Representative Office of China University in Egypt marks a new stage in strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Chinese universities, injecting new vitality into education cooperation between China and Egypt.
