Looking at 2024 | East West International Education Wang Wei: Adhering to the Strategy of Opening up to the Outside World and Expanding the Scope of International Education

2023 marked a period of economic recovery and growth following the three years of COVID-19 restrictions. China’s economy began to recover and improve, with a strong focus on high-quality development. With the deep adjustment of the global economy, the Chinese economy in 2024 has stood at a new historical starting point. The Central Economic Work Conference set the tone of “seeking progress while maintaining stability, promoting stability through progress, and establishing first and then breaking through”, and pointed out that further promoting economic recovery requires overcoming some difficulties and challenges.

Can economic expectations be elevated through initiatives like the Central Economic Work Conference? How can China enhance the effectiveness of its macroeconomic policies? Can China achieve sustainable growth next year or even longer? How confident are entrepreneurs?

The 2023 Central Economic Work Conference emphasized the importance of scientific and technological innovation in promoting high-quality development. May I ask how your company has utilized technological innovation to drive its development in the past year? What are your plans or strategies for technological innovation in 2024?

 

Wang Wei:

We are traditional enterprises, and how to better utilize the latest achievements of modern technology and do related work is an important issue for traditional enterprises. For us, utilizing the achievements of technological innovation and applying them to the development of our business can help improve the scale and quality of our business. In addition to technological innovation, innovation in business models and other aspects is also particularly important. Especially in the field of international education, the needs of students are constantly changing, and the needs of countries are also changing. Only by innovating in real time and adjusting business project models according to the situation can we win development.

 

Beike Finance:

The meeting mentioned the need to deepen supply side structural reform and expand effective demand, in order to promote the realization of qualitative and effective economic growth and reasonable quantity growth. May I ask if your company has any specific plans and strategies in this regard? What are your expectations for 2024?

 

Wang Wei:

At present, we are constantly reforming our product development to better meet market demand; At the same time, we must constantly innovate our projects, expand the supply capacity of our products, and adapt to the needs of consumers. We are full of expectations for 2024 and hope to promote the improvement of international high school students’ literacy through supply side reform plans, especially in the field of international high school students, through these new projects.

 

Beike Finance:

The meeting emphasized the importance of deepening reforms in key areas and expanding high-level opening-up to the outside world. May I ask if your company has any plans and strategies in these two areas? How do you expect these plans and strategies to drive the development of the enterprise in 2024?

 

Wang Wei:

For over 20 years, EWIE has witnessed the process of countries opening up to the outside world in the field of education, and continuing to expand opening up to the outside world is also our greatest wish. With the changing demand for domestic universities, in 2024, EWIE will introduce top-notch resources, such as the best programs from world-class universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, and New York University, to serve domestic universities and students. We believe that the national development strategy of the the Belt and Road and the recent trend of deepening educational exchanges and opening up in the humanities between China and the United States will enable us to continue to deepen the field of education and make the greatest contribution to promoting international education.
